The Brief

Workday’s internal audiovisual team was handling the main production of Workday Rising EMEA 2025, one of the company’s flagship annual conferences, bringing together thousands of HR and finance professionals from across Europe. They needed a trusted local partner to support them on the ground in Barcelona: experienced camera operators who could integrate seamlessly into an existing production workflow, plus lighting infrastructure for a large-scale convention venue.

They reached out to Camera Crew Spain.

What We Provided

We supplied Workday’s team with a complete crew and lighting package for the event:

  • 3 English-speaking camera operators fully briefed and integrated into Workday’s existing production structure
  • 1 gaffer managing all lighting design and setup across the conference spaces
  • 1 set coordinator for on-site logistics and crew coordination throughout the event days
  • Full lighting equipment: truss systems, LED panels, and supporting rigging gear for the Fira de Barcelona venue

Operating within a large-scale corporate event like Workday Rising requires more than technical competence. It requires crew who understand event flow, can take direction from an internal team, and know how to stay out of the way when the moment calls for it, and step up when it doesn’t. That’s exactly what we delivered.

The Location

The Fira de Barcelona is one of Europe’s premier convention venues: vast, technically demanding, and logistically complex. It’s a venue we know well. Between Mobile World Congress, VMware Explore, and dozens of other large-scale events over the years, we’ve worked in these halls more times than we can count. That familiarity matters when you’re setting up truss and LED rigs on a tight schedule before thousands of attendees walk through the door.

Why It Worked

Workday came with their own internal AV team and their own vision. Our job wasn’t to lead the production, it was to make their production better. English-speaking crew that slots directly into an international team, lighting expertise that scales to a venue the size of Fira’s halls, and a coordinator keeping everything moving on the ground.

No friction. No language barriers. Just clean execution.
