Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe, Germany’s largest group of savings banks, commissioned a series of commercial videos for their social media channels. The campaign, titled “Du machst uns aus” (You make us who we are), needed multiple distinct visual environments to match the youthful, dynamic tone of the creative concept. Spain was the main production destination, and we handled everything on the ground.
The creative brief called for a range of settings: urban energy, coastal lifestyle, mountain landscapes, and sport. Rather than scattering across Spain, we mapped all four environments within Catalonia, keeping travel distances manageable and the production schedule tight.
Barcelona provided the city backdrop. The Costa Brava coastline delivered the party atmosphere and surfboard scenes. For the mountain sequences, we moved inland to the Tarragona area. And the Maresme coast north of Barcelona gave us the right setting for the football scenes.
Each location required its own film permits, logistics planning, and local coordination. We handled location scouting in Spain well in advance, working closely with the German agency team to ensure every setting matched their storyboards before the crew arrived.
Camera Crew Spain served as the local production partner for the agency’s creative team. We produced all scenes taking place in Spain while the partner agency handled the German footage. Our scope covered the full production service package: location scouting, permit acquisition, video crew assembly, equipment provision, local cast sourcing, and on-the-ground logistics for the visiting agency team.
This is a typical setup for the international commercial work we do. The agency brings the creative vision and their own key personnel; we provide the local infrastructure, knowledge, and crew to make it happen in Spain.

The production was shot on ARRI and RED camera systems, giving the DOP the flexibility to adapt the visual approach across the very different environments the campaign required.
