CBS 60 Minutes: Lamine Yamal Interview

The Brief

60 Minutes needed local production support in Spain for their segment on Lamine Yamal. Their crew and gear were flying in from the US, and they initially reached out for logistics: vans, drivers, airport pickups, and secure gear storage while they filmed around Barcelona.

As the shoot evolved and locations expanded, CBS trusted us to handle the full production support, including all permit acquisition and location coordination. The production eventually stretched from Barcelona to Madrid.

The Challenge

The production required permits for some of Barcelona’s most iconic landmarks: Sagrada Familia, Casa Batlló, and Passeig de Gràcia. They also needed street filming permits in Rocafonda, Yamal’s home neighborhood, including interior access to his uncle’s bar for an interview.

Beyond permits, we coordinated access to FC Barcelona’s facilities, both the pitch and museum. Then came the logistics: daily transport between multiple locations, secure overnight gear storage, and finally, moving the entire production from Barcelona to Madrid for interviews at the Football Association headquarters.

The Locations

The shoot spanned Barcelona’s most recognizable landmarks like Sagrada Familia, Casa Batlló, Passeig de Gràcia, alongside the working-class streets of Rocafonda, where Yamal grew up. Filming included his uncle’s bar and FC Barcelona’s facilities, both the pitch and museum. From there, production moved to Madrid for interviews at the Football Association headquarters.

The Outcome

The production ran smoothly across both cities and all locations. Our team handled permits, transport, gear security, and coordination so the CBS crew could focus entirely on capturing Yamal’s story, from Barcelona’s famous landmarks to the authentic streets of Rocafonda where he grew up.
